Nanny
Sole charge nanny for 4 OR 5 days per week for one little girl age 15 months old.
The family are looking for a kind, caring and energetic nanny for a long-term, sole-charge position caring for one baby girl who will be approximately 15 months old at the commencement of the role. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, dependable nanny who adores babies and has a strong understanding of early years development.
The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working with young babies and toddlers, be confident establishing routines, and be able to encourage learning, curiosity and developmental milestones through play in a safe, engaging and loving way. A genuine passion for child development, early socialisation and early years is essential.
The right person will be a self-starter who takes initiative not only with the baby’s care, but also with all child-related housekeeping and organisation.
This will include managing all baby-related tasks such as sterilising bottles, preparing and ensuring an adequate supply of formula milk, preparing healthy meals and snacks which the baby will eat, keeping track of nappies and baby wipes, carrying out the baby’s laundry, and maintaining an organised and tidy nursery, play area and kitchen. The nanny should feel comfortable overseeing all aspects of the baby’s day-to-day needs without needing close supervision.
The nanny should be fluent in English, have positive communication skills, and bring a calm presence and organisation into the home. Someone who is energetic, loves being outdoors, and can balance lots of fun with a strong understanding that safety is always paramount would be an excellent fit.
The family would love a nanny who enjoys taking babies out and about — whether to local playgroups, music classes, swimming lessons, or the playground — and who enjoys socialising with other nannies and babies of a similar age. Creativity, enthusiasm and a willingness to plan fun, age-appropriate activities are highly valued.
It is important that the nanny is confident in the kitchen and enjoys cooking a wide variety of fresh, healthy meals, with an interest in introducing new flavours and cuisines as the baby grows.
The family travels and mother is originally from America, so it would be a plus if the nanny is happy and able to travel, including trips of up to two weeks at a time. Flexibility and a positive attitude towards travel would be a wonderful addition. Similarly it would be positive if the Nanny is open to staying over in the house when the parents are away
Longevity and reliability are very important to the family. They are specifically looking for a nanny who can demonstrate commitment and stability in previous roles, and who is seeking a long-term position. Candidates with a pattern of very short-term roles will not be considered.
The right candidate must have an up-to-date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references.
