A warm, welcoming family based in Southport is seeking an experienced and dedicated Live-In Nanny Housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys both childcare and housekeeping and is looking to become a valued part of a family for many years to come.
The family has two energetic children aged 2 and 4 years old and is looking for someone who can confidently manage sole-charge childcare when required while maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the home.
The family is seeking a candidate who can commit to the role for the long term, ideally for a minimum of two years or longer.
Working Schedule
The role will involve a combination of housekeeping and childcare duties:
Housekeeping Days
10:00/11:00am – 8:00pm
Childcare Days
8:00am – 5:00/6:00pm
5 working days per week
2 days off per week
Flexibility required, as working days may occasionally include weekends
Schedule provided well in advance wherever possible
Duties and Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties
Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the family home
Daily housekeeping and regular deep cleaning
Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and linen care
Changing bed linen and maintaining household standards
Grocery shopping and household stock management
Preparing simple, nutritious family meals
Ensuring the home remains well-organised and efficiently run
Childcare Duties
Sole-charge care of two children aged 2 and 4 years
Organising age-appropriate activities and play
Preparing meals and snacks for the children
Nursery and activity drop-offs and pick-ups
Supporting daily routines and outings
Providing a warm, caring and engaging environment
Accommodation
The successful candidate will be provided with a private, self-contained annex comprising:
Private bedroom
En-suite bathroom
Kitchenette
Television
Separate entrance
On-site parking
All accommodation costs, utilities and council tax are covered by the family.
Travel
The successful candidate must be willing to travel with the family approximately 2–3 times per year, both within the UK and internationally. All travel expenses will be covered.
Candidate Requirements
Previous professional nanny and housekeeping experience within private households
Strong childcare experience with toddlers and young children
Confident sole-charge childcare experience
Full, clean driving licence
Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
EU Passport holder with the right to work
Comfortable around a small, friendly family dog
Reliable, trustworthy and organised
Seeking a genuine long-term position with a family
