Support Worker
SEN / Complex Care Support Worker, GU10. A part-time, afternoon role offering set shifts for an enthusiastic, bubbly and fun SEN professional with complex care experience to join a care team providing 2:1 support to a fabulous 17-year-old young lady with complex care medical needs.

Salary/Wage: £19.00 gross per hour
Driving Requirements: Yes, to drive to and from the family home
Essential:
• Experience supporting young people with physical disabilities, including manual handling, hoisting, and PEG management.
• *Female applicants only.
Desirable:
• Tracheostomy experience.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Wednesday 2:00pm–8:00pm; Thursday and Friday 3:00pm–8:00pm; plus either Saturday or Sunday 8:00am–7:00/7:30pm twice per month. Applicants unable to commit to all shifts are still encouraged to apply.

About this child/client
Rose, 17, lives with her loving family and is an engaging, sweet, and happy young lady who enjoys music, especially boy bands, pamper sessions, movies, sensory play, stories, and lively activities. Rose sustained a brain injury at birth and requires 2:1 support around the clock. She has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a tracheostomy, visual impairment, and uses a GJ tube for medication, nutrition, and fluids. Rose communicates using her eyes and makes her likes and dislikes known. Her home is fully adapted and full training is provided.
Overview of role
Rose has a busy routine including home school lessons, therapies, and activities. Working alongside another team member, you will provide personal care, medication, feeds, manual handling, therapy support, and fun indoor and outdoor activities, while maintaining records and care plans. You will work closely with Rose’s parents and wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care and support.

A fun, bubbly, and proactive female SEN / Complex Care Support Worker who enjoys music, crafts, and reading, and has a genuine passion for helping young people live fulfilling lives. You will have experience in complex medical care, be willing to complete ongoing training, and be able to drive to and from the family home. Non-smokers/vapers only.
