Job Summary

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Maternity Nurse to support first-time parents during the early weeks with their newborn. Breastfeeding is incredibly important to the family, so they are looking for someone with strong breastfeeding knowledge who can offer practical guidance, reassurance and encouragement whilst helping mum build confidence. Dad will be returning to work after the first few weeks, so the family would value a calm and dependable professional who can provide additional support as mum settles into life with her baby. They would love someone kind, experienced and unflappable who knows when to step in with guidance and equally when to give the family space to enjoy precious time together. This role would suit a warm, supportive Maternity Nurse who enjoys working collaboratively with first-time parents and helping establish healthy feeding and sleep foundations from the very beginning. The family also have a very sleepy Whippet, so candidates should be comfortable around dogs.

• Providing 24-hour care for a newborn baby
• Supporting and encouraging the family's breastfeeding journey
• Offering guidance on newborn care, feeding and sleep

• Managing all nursery duties related to the baby

• Experienced Maternity Nurse with excellent newborn knowledge

• Supportive without being overly prescriptive or taking over
