A warm and welcoming French family is seeking a positive, energetic and engaging live-in manny to support their 10-year-old son. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and acting as a positive male role model.
The family are looking for someone who can provide structure, encouragement and gentle guidance, helping their son develop independence and confidence whilst ensuring his days are fun, active and engaging.
The ideal candidate will strike the right balance between being kind and approachable whilst maintaining clear boundaries and routines. They will be honest, respectful and trustworthy, with a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to their work. The family are looking for someone who takes pride in making a positive difference to their daily lives, uses their initiative and approaches each day with care, energy and enthusiasm.
The Child

The family are keen to find someone who can encourage his interests whilst introducing new hobbies and experiences.
Duties
The role combines traditional childcare responsibilities with mentoring and household support relating to the child.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing breakfast and simple healthy meals.
- Supporting the morning routine and school preparation.
- School drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Driving to after-school activities and appointments.
- Supporting homework and encouraging independent study habits.
- Acting as a mentor and positive role model.
- Organising engaging activities, sports and games.
- Encouraging outdoor play and an active lifestyle.
- Helping to develop confidence, responsibility and life skills.
- Keeping the child's bedroom and play areas organised.
- Child-related laundry and wardrobe organisation.
- Preparing school bags and activity equipment.
- General nursery duties related to the child.
Hours
Monday to Friday
7:00am – 7:00pm, with a generous daily break of approximately four hours (typically between 11:00am and 3:00pm, with flexibility).
The family are relaxed and flexible, provided the child's needs are met and there is good communication.
School Holidays
During school holidays, the day typically begins around 9:00am. The schedule is more flexible, with breaks arranged by mutual agreement, balancing educational activities with plenty of time for fun and adventure.
Travel
The manny should be happy to travel with the family for approximately five weeks throughout the year.

Accommodation

Salary £33,750-£38,250
