Position
A warm and welcoming family based in Headington is seeking an experienced, proactive, and organised Nanny/Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy household and provide excellent care for their two young boys, aged 1 and 3 years.

Both children attend nursery between 10:00am and 4:00pm, allowing time during the day to focus on housekeeping duties. The family also employs a part-time cleaner, so this role is centred around maintaining the home, keeping it organised, and supporting the family’s day-to-day routines rather than deep cleaning.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Full-time
The family’s schedule varies each week to accommodate work commitments and includes a mixture of:
Early morning starts
Standard daytime shifts
Later afternoon/evening finishes
Example shifts include:
Monday: 2:30pm – 8:30pm

Friday: 6:45am – 12:45pm
A degree of flexibility is essential.

Salary
£20–£22 gross per hour
The family is happy to offer a competitive market rate for an outstanding candidate.
Childcare Responsibilities
Morning and evening care for the children.
Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups.
Plan fun, age-appropriate activities and outings.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Support routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime when required.
Encourage learning, development, and good manners.
Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
Housekeeping Responsibilities
Maintain the home to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Daily tidying and household organisation.
Family laundry, ironing, folding, and putting clothes away.
Change bed linen as required.
Keep the kitchen clean and organised.
Load and unload the dishwasher.
Grocery shopping and household errands when required.
Manage household supplies and restock essentials.
Prepare simple family meals when needed.
Liaise with the family’s part-time cleaner to ensure the household runs efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper within a private household.
Warm, caring, and confident with young children.
Proactive, organised, and able to use initiative.
Flexible and adaptable.
Full UK driving licence and own car are essential.
Excellent references.
Enhanced DBS check.
Paediatric First Aid qualification preferred.
Additional Information
Two boys aged 1 and 3 years.
Both children attend nursery from 10:00am–4:00pm.
No pets.
Property comprises 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
The family already employs a part-time cleaner, so the role focuses on maintaining the household rather than undertaking extensive deep cleaning.
