An international family based in Oberanven (commune of Niederanven), Luxembourg, is seeking an experienced, professional live-out nanny to care for their two-year-old daughter. The family is also expecting their second child in January 2027, and the successful candidate will transition into supporting both children as the family's needs evolve.

English is the primary language spoken at home, and the family values a multilingual environment in keeping with the Luxembourg education system.
The Role

Position: Live-Out Nanny

Location: Oberanven, Luxembourg

Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is available

Contract: Luxembourg employment contract with full social security (CCSS) registration

Hours: A gradual introduction of approximately 10–12 hours per week (for example, three mornings from 9:00am–1:00pm), increasing over the first month to a permanent schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm (20 hours per week). The morning schedule will remain consistent, with occasional afternoon swaps by mutual agreement.

Initially, the nanny will provide sole charge care for the family's two-year-old daughter until she begins crèche in 2027. Following the arrival of the family's second child in January 2027, responsibilities will expand to include care of the newborn, either alongside or instead of the older sibling as she transitions into nursery.
Responsibilities

Providing attentive, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for a two-year-old child.

Planning engaging, age-appropriate play, learning activities and outdoor experiences.

Maintaining consistent daily routines, including meals, naps and developmental activities.

Preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks.

Supporting language development through natural daily interaction. French, Luxembourgish or German language skills would be highly advantageous alongside fluent English.

Undertaking light child-related duties, including children's laundry, tidying play areas and keeping children's spaces organised. No general housekeeping is required.

Maintaining clear, proactive communication with the parents regarding the children's development, wellbeing and daily routines.

Candidate Requirements

The family is seeking a highly experienced career nanny with an excellent background caring for infants and toddlers.

Applicants must have:

Significant professional nanny experience caring for children aged 0–5 years (babysitting alone will not be considered sufficient).

A recognised paediatric first aid and infant CPR qualification (essential).

A formal qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Pedagogy or a closely related field (essential).

Excellent, verifiable references from previous nanny positions involving infants.

A clear criminal record (Bulletin de Casier Judiciaire or equivalent).

Fluent English.

Experience working with international or multilingual families would be highly desirable.
