Live-in Maternity Nanny – Berlin, Germany & Cincinnati, USA

An American-German professional family is seeking an experienced Maternity Nanny to join them ahead of the arrival of their first baby, due in mid-November 2026. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a career nanny with exceptional newborn experience who is looking to become a valued part of a family's life.

The position will begin in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA) for approximately 3–5 months during the newborn and early postpartum period before relocating permanently with the family to Berlin, Germany. Occasional international travel between the USA and Germany will be required, with all travel expenses covered.

We are also considering two different candidates for separate roles:

A maternity nurse to take over the newborn stage in the U.S. when the baby is approximately 3–5 months old. For this position, we are looking only at U.S. passport holders.
A long-term baby nanny based in Berlin, Germany, with extensive baby experience, who is available for international travel and can provide long-term support as the child grows.

About the Role:
This is a live-in, sole-charge Maternity Nanny position, focused entirely on caring for one newborn. The family employs additional support, meaning there are no cooking, cleaning or household management duties. Your role will be dedicated exclusively to the baby's care and development.

Working Schedule:
Monday to Friday 24/6 for 3 months then 24/5
Sole charge throughout the working week
Weekends covered by the parents and a secondary nanny

Duties Include:
Providing exceptional sole-charge care for one newborn
Establishing feeding, sleeping and daily routines
Supporting healthy development through sensory play and age-appropriate activities
Implementing gentle sleep routines as the child grows
Encouraging early language development
Preparing bottles, sterilising equipment and supporting weaning
Maintaining the nursery and the child's belongings
Travelling internationally with the family when required
Maintaining complete discretion and professionalism at all times

Applicants should have:
A minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a Maternity Nanny or Career Nanny
Extensive newborn and sole-charge private household experience
Current Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification
Fluency in English or German (both languages preferred); an additional language would be advantageous
A full driving licence
A non-smoking lifestyle
Strong knowledge of newborn routines, sleep shaping, sensory play and child development
Excellent organisational skills with a discreet, professional approach
A genuine desire to build a long-term relationship with one family
Confidence travelling internationally

Package:
€55,000–€70,000 ++ gross per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Negotiable performance bonus
Private live-in accommodation with an en-suite bedroom
All travel expenses covered
