We are seeking an experienced, warm and knowledgeable maternity nurse to support a lovely first-time family following the arrival of their first baby.

The family are looking for a maternity nurse who can provide reassurance, guidance and expert newborn care, helping them build confidence and establish an age-appropriate routine during those precious early weeks.

The family have two friendly Labradors, so applicants must be comfortable working in a home with dogs.

About the Role

There are two possible arrangements for this booking, and we welcome applications from candidates suited to either option.

Option One – Wiltshire-Based Maternity Nurse
Live-in 24-hour support in West London for approximately five days following the baby's arrival.
Travel expenses to London will be covered.
Approximately two weeks off over Christmas.
Return to support the family in Wiltshire for approximately four weeks, working overnight only on a live-out basis.
Accommodation can also be provided in Somerset should the maternity nurse prefer to stay.

Option Two – London-Based Maternity Nurse
Live-in 24-hour support in London for approximately five days following the baby's arrival.
Approximately two weeks off over Christmas.
Live in with the family in Wiltshire for approximately four weeks, working overnight shifts only.
London Booking

During the initial London booking, the maternity nurse will provide 24-hour live-in support for approximately five days.

The role will include:

Providing expert newborn care and guidance.
Supporting feeding, settling and establishing gentle routines.
Educating and reassuring first-time parents.
Baby-related duties only.

Accommodation provided:
Private bedroom.
Shared bathroom.

Rate: £350 per 24-hour period.

Wiltshire Booking

Following the Christmas break, the family will relocate to Somerset for approximately four weeks.

The maternity nurse will work overnight shifts only.

Proposed hours:
9:00 pm – 7:00 am (10-hour shift)

Responsibilities will include:

Overnight newborn care.
Feeding support.
Settling and soothing.
Monitoring the baby's wellbeing throughout the night.
Supporting the continuation of healthy sleep and feeding routines.
Providing ongoing reassurance and guidance to the parents.

Rate: £25 per hour.

Accommodation in Wiltshire

For candidates choosing to stay with the family, accommodation includes:
Private bedroom.
Private bathroom.
Private kitchenette.

Parking is available at the Wiltshire property.
