A warm and welcoming family is seeking a caring, engaging, and experienced part-time nanny to provide daytime support for their happy, active 8-month-old baby. This is a shared-care role designed to give mum some much-needed support during the day.

The ideal candidate will be family-minded, kind, and nurturing, with a genuine love of spending time with babies. They will enjoy singing, reading stories, playing, getting outdoors, and providing plenty of cuddles while supporting the baby's development through fun and stimulating activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing attentive, loving care for an 8-month-old baby.
- Carrying out all usual nanny duties.
- Supporting weaning, including preparing and feeding one meal during each shift.
- Changing nappies and attending to the baby's daily care needs.
- Planning engaging age-appropriate play and developmental activities.
- Singing, reading stories, and encouraging sensory and interactive play.
- Taking the baby out for walks, local activities, and outings.
- Maintaining a tidy and organised environment relating to the child.

The Family & Home

The family lives in a beautiful period home in central Hitchin with a lovely cottage garden and garden room, providing a wonderful setting for indoor and outdoor play. The home is supported by a cleaner, allowing the nanny to focus solely on childcare.

Hours

- Flexible daytime hours across 2–3 days per week.
- Hours can be arranged up to 7:00 pm.
