A lovely family based in Notting Hill/North Kensington are looking for a warm, energetic and engaging nanny to care for their delightful little boy, aged nearly 4, from the end of September. This is a long-term, sole charge position during term time, with the opportunity to work full-time during the school holidays when the family are not travelling.

The family are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and takes a real interest in their development. Their son is bright, curious and active, and they would love to find a nanny who will nurture his love of learning through play while encouraging his growing enthusiasm for sport and the outdoors. He enjoys numbers, writing, drawing, building Lego, puzzles and creative activities, so they're hoping to find someone who will get involved, spark his imagination and make each day fun.

They are looking for a nanny who is proactive, positive and confident working independently. Someone with excellent communication skills, plenty of initiative and a calm, kind nature who will become an important part of their son's routine. He is a happy, well-behaved little boy who loves conversation, so they're keen to find someone who enjoys chatting, asking questions and encouraging his confidence and curiosity.

The role will include nursery and school pick-ups, taking him to his after-school activities including swimming, football and Little Gym, planning fun and educational outings to parks, playgrounds, museums and galleries, reading together, arts and crafts, imaginative play and lots of active outdoor fun. The nanny will also prepare fresh, healthy meals for him, keep his play areas tidy and organised, manage his laundry and support him in developing kindness, good manners and independence.

The family would also love someone who is happy to travel with them occasionally for short trips to Denmark or Mallorca.

The role is approximately 18–20 hours per week during term time (Monday–Thursday afternoons and Friday 10am–5pm), increasing to full-time hours during the school holidays. The salary is £18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. An up-to-date DBS, Paediatric First Aid certificate, fluent English and excellent references are essential.
