About the family and children

The little girl was born in May 2026. She is a very happy and content baby who enjoys music and singing. Her parents are teaching her German and English.

The family home is conveniently located in Stoke Newington, North London, close to local amenities and transport links.

Expectations and duties

The role will be sole charge, working 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and a part day on Friday, totalling circa. 45 hours per week (some flexibility on hours may be required). The salary will be very competitive depending on experience.

Experience with babies of a similar age would be essential.

The family are searching for a calm and confident nanny who is reasonably social and consistent in their approach, while being affectionate and gentle with the little girl. The right candidate will be able to instil good routines without being too rigid, allowing for some flexibility. A nanny who can speak German would be highly preferable so to continue to teach the baby German, but this is not essential for strong candidates. Someone creative and/or musical will also be a good fit, as the little girl enjoys music, and the family would like someone who can encourage these activities as well as creativity/art.

The role will include all typical nursery duties, including preparing healthy meals and bottles, implementing good routines, keeping the little girl’s areas clean and tidy, and organising age-appropriate activities to support her stimulation and development. The parents are keen for the nanny to get out and about with the little girl as she grows, encouraging time outdoors, park visits and activities that support strong hand-eye coordination. The family also employ a cleaner twice per week and may get a dog or cat in the future, so an animal lover would be a plus. No holiday travel is anticipated but may on occasion and exception be required.
