Nanny / Housekeeper – Lovely Family | Eltham, South East London

£18–£20 gross per hour | Monday–Thursday | 4pm–8pm | 16 hours per week

Hummingbird Homestaff is delighted to be recruiting for a warm, reliable and proactive Nanny/Housekeeper to join a lovely family in Eltham, South East London.

The family have three children aged between 5 and 10 and are looking for someone who can provide a lovely combination of after-school childcare and household support.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for regular afternoon hours with a family who would really value an extra pair of hands.

The Role

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
4.00pm–8.00pm
16 hours per week
£18–£20 gross per hour
Eltham, South East London

There is some flexibility around the working pattern. The family would ideally like Monday–Thursday, with Wednesday being focused more heavily on housekeeping.

Alternatively, they could consider Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with the hours and responsibilities discussed with the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

Childcare:

Supporting the children after school
Helping with homework and reading
Preparing and cooking their evening meals
Helping with bath and bedtime routines where required
Taking the children to activities if needed
Organising school bags and belongings
Providing a warm, caring and engaging presence
Supporting the children's evening routines

Housekeeping:

General cleaning and tidying
Laundry and ironing
Keeping the children's bedrooms and living areas organised
Helping to keep the kitchen tidy
Changing bed linen when required
General household organisation
Noticing what needs doing and taking the initiative
Helping the family keep on top of the day-to-day running of the home
The Ideal Candidate

The family are looking for someone who is:

Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children
Experienced with school-aged children
Proactive and organised
Reliable, trustworthy and discreet
Happy to combine childcare and housekeeping
Confident preparing family meals
Able to work independently and use their initiative
Flexible and happy to help wherever needed
