Singapore family seek two English Mother Tongue, degree-educated nurturing Governesses to join their fully staffed household and care for their 3-year-old girl and boy twins. Each Governess will take primary responsibility for one child, whilst working collaboratively as part of the wider household team.

The family are keen to find patient and nurturing Governesses who combine warmth with a strong educational focus. They place particular importance on good manners, etiquette, structure and appropriate boundaries, whilst ensuring the children enjoy a happy, stimulating and engaging childhood.

The roles will encompass all aspects of the children's care and development, including planning age-appropriate lessons and activities, supporting their educational development, supervising homework as they progress through school and encouraging learning through play, outings and wider interests. Mother will be around and involved with the children, so both successful candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively whilst confidently taking responsibility for their individual charge.

The twins attend school Monday to Friday, approximately 9am–5pm. During the week, each Governess will work from 7am until the school drop-off at 9am, resuming from 5pm–8pm, with free time whilst the children are at school.

Weekends are considerably busier and will involve full days with the children. The working week is five days, with Monday and Friday off.

This is a fully staffed household employing a House Manager, Housekeepers and Driver, enabling the Governesses to concentrate entirely on the children's care, education and development. No children's laundry is required, as this is undertaken by the Housekeepers.

The family lead an active lifestyle and would particularly suit Governesses who are energetic, organised and creative, with the patience and maturity to provide consistency and guidance during these important early years.
The children have tree nut and shellfish allergies, and it is essential that both successful candidates understand the importance of observing the family's allergy protocols meticulously.
The family home is situated in a vibrant and affluent area of Singapore, centrally located and within easy reach of the city's excellent shopping, restaurants and amenities.
Own bedroom provided, with a bathroom shared between the two Governesses.
Applicants should be English Mother Tongue, degree educated, experienced with young children and able to demonstrate a genuine interest in early years education and development. A work visa will be provided.
