We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and experienced nanny to care for our 21-month-old daughter.

We are interested in finding someone who genuinely loves working with toddlers and has a strong interest in early childhood development.

Our daughter is curious, sociable, communicative and increasingly independent. We are looking for someone who can build a close relationship with her while also being skilled, calm and thoughtful around routines and boundaries.

Hours

* Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
* 25 guaranteed hours per week

Evening availability would be a real bonus, although it is not a requirement. Ideally, we would love someone who could occasionally or regularly take on one evening per week, so please mention any evening availability when applying.
If an evening shift is agreed, we are happy to rearrange the daytime hours that week rather than expecting the nanny to work a late evening in addition to the usual schedule. The precise arrangement can be discussed with the right candidate.

The role

Responsibilities will include:
* Providing warm, attentive and developmentally appropriate care.
* Reading, talking and playing extensively with our daughter, supporting her language, physical, social and emotional development, and planning interesting activities and experiences.
* Preparing nutritious, varied meals and snacks.
* Supporting her established routines, including meals and nap time.
* Taking care of her laundry and keeping her bedroom, play areas, books, toys and other child-related belongings organised.
* Flagging child-related supplies that need replenishing.

We particularly value initiative. We would like someone who notices what our daughter is interested in, thinks about what she might enjoy or benefit from next, and communicates openly with us about her development and day-to-day experiences.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong previous sole-charge experience caring for toddlers of a similar age, ideally with experience extending into the preschool years.

A genuine interest in early childhood development is very important to us. Formal early-years or childcare qualifications are welcomed, but excellent practical experience, judgement, warmth and genuine curiosity about child development matter more to us than qualifications alone.

You should be reliable, emotionally attuned, calm, proactive and genuinely enjoy spending time with young children.

The successful candidate must have:
* Strong, recent and verifiable childcare references.
* Current paediatric first-aid training.
* An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, or willingness to obtain one.
* The right to work in the United Kingdom.
