Live-in nanny - Queens Park
A lovely family with 4 girls aged 4 months, 3, 6 and 8 years old are looking for an experienced, warm and loving live-in nanny to join their busy household. 70% of the focus will be on the baby and 30% on the 3 older girls. Mum is very hands on and the role will very much operate as a tag team. Often, the nanny will have sole charge of the baby, while at other times Mum may be with the baby and the nanny will focus on the older girls, helping with their routines, activities and general organisation.
The family are looking for someone who is extremely confident and experienced with young babies, but who equally enjoys working with older children and is happy to turn their hand to whatever is needed. This is a busy, lively household where no 2 days are quite the same, someone flexible, calm and patient who enjoys variety and is comfortable going with the flow.
The family employ a full-time housekeeper who takes care of the main household and most of the cooking. However, the nanny will be required to sometime prepare simple healthy meals and will be responsible for child-related housekeeping across all 4 children, including their laundry, ironing, tidying their bedrooms, wardrobes, toys and keeping their belongings organised and tidy. The nanny should be happy to work as part of a team and support the housekeeper where appropriate.
The ideal candidate is someone with an excellent level of spoken and written English, someone who has lived with families before and can respect/understand boundaries and discretion. The family travel regularly and would like their nanny to travel with them. The family are looking for someone fun and energetic, but who also fully understands that safety is always paramount.
Accommodation on offer is a large bedroom plus bathroom on the top floor of the family home.
Duties include:
• Sole and shared care of the baby
• Supporting Mum and working together as a tag team
• Helping with the older girls when Mum is with the baby
• Nursery/school routines and activities for the older children as required
• Taking the baby and/or older girls to classes, playgroups, parks and activities
• Managing the baby’s feeds, bottles, naps and general day-to-day care
• All child-related laundry for the 4 children
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms, wardrobes, toys and belongings organised
• Keeping play areas and children’s spaces tidy
• Working alongside the full-time housekeeper and helping with child-related tasks as needed
• Travelling with the family
