An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced, warm and proactive live-in nanny to join a welcoming international family based in Iceland.

The family are seeking a long-term nanny to provide exceptional care for their two young boys, aged 2 and 4. The position is 5 days per week, 7am–7pm, with flexibility required when the family is travelling. You will become an integral part of family life, providing attentive, engaging and development-focused childcare both at home and whilst travelling.
Mandarin or Scandinavian language skills would be a wonderful bonus but are not essential.

The parents are very hands-on and love spending quality time with their children, whether that's cooking together, exploring outdoors or heading off on spontaneous adventures. They are looking for a nanny who enjoys working alongside them, complementing their parenting style while confidently taking the lead whenever required.

From late August, both children will be attending preschool. During these hours, the family would love to find someone who naturally enjoys keeping the household organised and running smoothly. This is not a housekeeping role, but they highly value someone who takes pride in maintaining an organised environment for the children and helping the home flow effortlessly.

Their previous nanny, who was with the family for several years, quietly ensured everything stayed on track. She kept on top of the children's laundry, maintained tidy bedrooms and play areas, kept the kitchen organised after the children's meals, ran and emptied the dishwasher, and always noticed when everyday essentials such as soap or bin bags needed replenishing. This proactive approach allowed family life to run seamlessly and is something they would love to find again.

The family is not fully staffed, and everyone works together to create a happy, well-organised home. They are therefore looking for someone who enjoys contributing beyond the children's direct care when time allows, whilst always recognising that childcare remains the primary focus of the role.
The family also travels extensively throughout the year, including spending approximately one month in Cape Town each winter. They are looking for a nanny who enjoys travelling and is equally comfortable supporting the family at home or abroad. Flexibility around working hours and days will be required during periods of international travel.
