Nanny/Housekeeper – Family Home – Byfleet, Surrey

Location: Byfleet, Surrey
Salary: £18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 2.00pm–7.00pm

Hummingbird Homestaff is delighted to be working with a lovely family in Byfleet, Surrey, who are looking for a reliable, organised and experienced Nanny to become an important part of their household.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a well-run, calm and organised family home. The ideal candidate will be a proactive extra pair of hands, school runs, helping the family keep everything running smoothly through a combination of housekeeping, laundry, cooking and family support.

The family have three children aged 12, 9 and 8, and the role will include collecting the children from school and helping them settle at home.

Duties will include
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised family home
Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms and general housekeeping
Ensuring all rooms are well presented
Laundry, including washing, drying, folding and putting clothes away
Professional ironing of clothing and household items
Changing bed linen and keeping bedrooms organised
Preparing and cooking the family’s evening meal
Planning simple, healthy and family-friendly meals
Helping with shopping lists and keeping the kitchen organised
Collecting the children from school and ensuring they are settled at home
Helping with general day-to-day household tasks and supporting the family where needed
The ideal candidate

The family are looking for someone with previous private housekeeping experience who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys supporting a busy family home.

You should be confident preparing family meals, highly organised, reliable and able to work independently using your own initiative. A warm and friendly approach, good communication skills and a willingness to become a valued part of the household are important.

A clean driving licence and own car are essential for this position.
