A lovely family based in Southfields, Wimbledon are looking for an experienced, caring and energetic Part-Time Nanny to care for their two boys, aged 5 and 3.

This is a sole-charge position working three afternoons per week. The eldest is in Year 1 and the youngest attends nursery. The school and nursery are approximately a five-minute drive apart, giving the nanny plenty of flexibility when organising the afternoon.

The boys are active and particularly enjoy sports. They have a lovely relationship and enjoy spending time together. The family would like someone who can bring a warm and positive approach to their afternoons, while providing structure and a consistent routine when needed.

During the school holidays, the younger child continues to attend nursery throughout the year, while the eldest can attend holiday club, meaning the usual afternoon hours can continue. There may also be the opportunity to work two full days during the school holidays caring for the eldest.

HOURS

• Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 3:00pm–7:30pm

The family can be flexible with the start and finish times for the right candidate, and may also consider two days rather than three.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• School and nursery pick-ups
• Sole-charge care of both children
• Preparing healthy evening meals for the children
• Supporting the eldest with reading, spelling and homework
• Planning age-appropriate play and activities
• Encouraging active play and the boys’ interest in sports
• Keeping the children’s areas and belongings tidy and organised
• Light housekeeping related to the children
• Helping to maintain a happy and organised after-school and evening routine

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Have good professional childcare experience
• Be playful, energetic and enjoy engaging with active children
• Be gentle, patient and caring
• Be confident providing structure and age-appropriate boundaries
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Be reliable, organised and able to take responsibility for the children’s afternoon routine
• Hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Be a confident driver with a full driving licence

Driving is essential for this position due to the school and nursery pick-ups. A car can be provided for use while working if the nanny does not have their own.
