A lovely family are looking for a proactive and organised Housekeeper / Mother’s Help to provide practical support within their family home and help keep the household running smoothly. This is predominantly a housekeeping role and no regular childcare is required.

Both parents are working professionals and have a three-year-old daughter who attends nursery/childcare. They are expecting their second baby in October and would like to have the right person settled into the household beforehand. Some practical support following the baby's arrival would be appreciated, so someone who is comfortable around newborns would be ideal.

HOURS

• Monday to Thursday: 4 hours per day
• Starting between 9:00am and 10:00am

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Family laundry and ironing
• Putting clothes away and keeping on top of household organisation
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Hoovering and general household cleaning and tidying
• Maintaining the organisation and systems already in place within the home
• Preparing healthy lunches and evening meals for the family
• Cooking fresh, nutritious meals from scratch using non-processed ingredients
• Providing practical household support following the arrival of the new baby

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Have previous professional housekeeping experience
• Be professional, reliable and trustworthy
• Be proactive and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Use their own initiative and naturally notice what needs doing
• Be organised, with good common sense and attention to detail
• Take pride in maintaining high standards
• Be a confident cook who is comfortable preparing a variety of fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch
• Ideally have some experience or confidence preparing Indian/Asian-style dishes, although this is a preference rather than a requirement
• Be comfortable around newborns, with newborn experience an advantage
• Be approachable and communicate well
• Be looking to become a trusted and valued extension of the family
