Join a beautiful, fully staffed private estate, working alongside an established household team and caring for the home to exceptional standards


Job Summary:
The family spends approximately 2–3 months of the year in residence, so the successful candidate must be flexible and highly responsive to the needs of the estate. There will be periods when the household becomes busier, including arrivals at short notice, sometimes with as little as 24 hours' notice.

The principal residence is a large property with approximately eight bedrooms, extensive living areas, a large kitchen and dedicated laundry facilities, set within a substantial private estate.

You will work as part of the wider household team, helping to ensure the property is consistently maintained to an exceptionally high standard and is ready for the principals and their guests.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper looking to work within a beautiful private estate where high standards, discretion and attention to detail are genuinely valued.


Job specification:
• Full housekeeping of the principal residence, including cleaning, deep cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Expert care of luxury and delicate garments, including hand washing, stain treatment and minor repairs
• Liaising with dry cleaners where required
• Packing and unpacking for the principals and family
• Preparing simple, family style meals such as porridge, light lunches and straightforward dinners if the chef is not working.
• Ensuring the home is consistently guest-ready, with excellent attention to presentation and detail
• Table setting, styling and basic floral arrangements in line with the principal's preferences
• Working closely with the principal regarding household presentation, preferences and standards
• Responding positively and efficiently to changing household requirements

Candidate specification:
• Highly experienced in private household housekeeping and laundry
• Particularly confident caring for luxury clothing and delicate garments
• A competent and confident cook who can prepare simple family style meals when needed
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Positive, approachable and discreet
• Calm and professional in their manner
• Flexible, reliable and able to prioritise changing demands
• Comfortable working within a private, low-occupancy estate environment
• Pet friendly
