Experienced Nightly Maternity Nurse required for an 8–12 week booking in Hampstead, supporting first-time parents with their newborn baby girl, with a medical or midwifery background particularly welcomed.

Job Summary
First-time parents in Hampstead are looking for a calm, kind and highly supportive Nightly Maternity Nurse to provide overnight care for their 10-day-old baby girl. ASAP start, although the family can wait a little for the right person . Mum is currently breastfeeding but has found the experience challenging due to an oversupply and would like support as she moves towards a combination of breastfeeding and expressing. They would really value someone knowledgeable and non-judgemental who can support Mum with her feeding choices as they evolve. The family have particularly valued the calm and attentive approach of the midwives who have supported them so far and would ideally love to find a Maternity Nurse with a midwifery or medical background who brings that same reassuring manner. They are, however, open to experienced Maternity Nurses without a medical background if the personality and experience are right. There is a Dachshund in the home, and two further dogs may visit with a family member.

• Providing attentive overnight care for a newborn baby

• Feeding, winding, changing and settling baby overnight

• Supporting the parents to rest overnight
• Usual nursery duties relating to baby

• Excellent newborn and Maternity Nurse experience
• Midwifery or relevant medical background highly desirable
• Strong breastfeeding and expressing knowledge
• Calm, kind and highly attentive
• Supportive and non-judgemental in approach
• Able to offer knowledgeable guidance without being overly opinionated
• Professional, reassuring and reliable
• Comfortable around dogs
