Nanny-Housekeeper
A warm and close-knit family living in Manchester city centre is looking for an experienced and caring nanny-housekeeper to become a trusted part of their household.
This is very much a supportive, all-round role caring for two children at very different stages of development: a delightful one-year-old girl and her bright and charismatic 12-year-old brother.
The family would love to find the right kind of nanny who will engage naturally with both children, take a genuine interest in their individual needs and provide a warm, encouraging and supportive environment. The successful candidate will also help the household run smoothly by assisting with family cooking, children’s laundry, some light family housekeeping, shopping and errands.
The youngest child is a happy and engaging little girl who loves books, music and interactive play. She is currently learning to walk and becoming increasingly independent at mealtimes. Her nanny will support her development through age-appropriate play, outings, reading, songs and activities, while establishing a happy daily routine and limiting screen time.
Her older brother enjoys football, chess and technology. He is bright, sociable and approaching his teenage years. The role will include being a positive and encouraging presence for him, offering homework or tuition support where needed and gently helping him to develop greater independence and responsibility.
Duties will include
• Providing warm, attentive and engaging care for the children
• Planning age-appropriate play, outings and developmental activities for the youngest child
• Supporting physical, emotional and social development
• Preparing healthy vegetarian meals and snacks for the children and family
• Supporting the older child with homework, organisation and age-appropriate responsibilities

• Children’s laundry and ironing
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings organised
• Light family housekeeping and helping to maintain an immaculate, well-run home
• Food shopping and online grocery orders
• Running local errands
• Working closely with the parents and providing flexible, practical support where needed
