A lovely family based in Flimwell, East Sussex, are looking for an experienced and nurturing Nanny to care for their 8-month-old daughter.

Days: Monday & Tuesday
Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm

Driver: Not essential, although due to the rural location, candidates must be able to reliably commute to the family home

Genuine engagement is particularly important to this family. They are looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys working with babies and will be fully present and involved in their little girl's day - getting down on the floor to play, singing and talking with her, encouraging her curiosity and supporting her as she reaches each new developmental milestone.

Mum particularly values imaginative and child-led play and would love a nanny who brings warmth, creativity and a sense of fun to the role. Music is a big part of family life, alongside a love of nature and the outdoors. The family also have an interest in Montessori and Steiner-inspired approaches to early learning and development.

The position will be predominantly sole charge. Mum will be at the office one day each week and will be around for some of the second day, sometimes heading out and at other times enjoying a little time with her daughter alongside the nanny.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
*Providing attentive and nurturing care for the baby
*Supporting age-appropriate developmental milestones
*Planning engaging, stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities
*Encouraging imaginative and child-led play
*Singing, reading, talking and enjoying music together
*Getting outdoors and making the most of the family's beautiful rural surroundings
*Preparing age-appropriate meals and snacks for the baby
*Following the baby's established routine, including naps and mealtimes
*Keeping the baby's play areas and bedroom clean and tidy
*Baby's laundry and other child-related nursery duties
*Tidying up after meals, activities and play

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
*Have a minimum of 3 years' recent professional childcare experience, with strong experience caring for babies of a similar age
*Hold a recognised childcare qualification
*Hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate
*Be calm, nurturing, gentle and patient
*Be playful, energetic and genuinely enjoy interacting with young children
*Have a warm and imaginative approach to play and learning
*Enjoy music, singing, nature and outdoor activities
*Understand and confidently support early developmental milestones
*Be flexible and adaptable
*Have excellent spoken English
*Be comfortable around dogs, as the family have a friendly, well-behaved toy poodle
*Be open to very occasional overnight travel with the family, with separate accommodation provided
