J23261 - Fixed Term Contract Night Nurse
Location: TW10, Richmond
Start date & working days/hours: First week of December 2026
End date/booking length & working days/hours: 5 to 6 nights a week.
Minimum 2 weeks booking up to 2 months (depending on how soon the baby is in a routine).
Salary: £23 to £25 gross per hour - depending on experience and qualifications.
Child's age: Baby will be 6 months old on the 11th of December 2026
Pets: 2 cats in the house
Parking: Available for a small car

A returning family is seeking a calm, nurturing Night Nurse for their baby girl, who will be 6 months old in December. Given the baby spent time in neonatal ICU after birth, the parents require a gentle, responsive caregiver. They do not want a "cry-it-out" or rigid methods. The nurse must collaborate closely with the parents & listen to them as well.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gentle sleep conditioning: Establish predictable nighttime sleep routines using gentle, gradual settling techniques.
- Sole overnight care: Handle all nighttime feeds, burping, nappy changes, and soothing back to sleep in the nursery.
- Nursery maintenance: Wash and sterilize bottles/pump equipment, restock supplies, and keep the nursery orderly.
- Logging & handovers: Keep concise overnight logs (feeds, sleep stretches, wake windows) and deliver clear morning updates.

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven track record as a gentle Night Nanny or Infant Sleep Consultant with 3–12 month infants.
- Firm commitment to gentle, attachment-focused methods and willingness to listen to parental preferences.
- Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, enhanced DBS check, and checkable references.
