Seeking a buddy for a bright young woman with SEN. SW15
Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual looking for a rewarding opportunity? Our agency is seeking an individual to join a wonderful family in SW15 as a buddy for their vibrant 18-year-old daughter with severe learning difficulties. This is a unique chance to work with a cheerful, spirited young woman who enjoys adventure and exploring all that London has to offer.
About the Opportunity:
Our client's daughter is a physically able young woman with severe learning difficulties, non-verbal, and autistic. Despite her challenges, she is delightful to be around, with a great sense of humour and a love for exploration. She also experiences epilepsy, mostly nocturnal, but it does not hinder her daily activities.
Saturdays: 10am - 6pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays during school holidays: 10am - 6pm (flexible)
Planning and researching local events and activities.
Providing care, companionship, and support during outings.
Accompanying the family on 2-3 trips per year.
Schedule and Compensation:
£18 - 20 gross per hour.
Additional payment for overnight stays.
Training provided; no previous experience necessary.
Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Genuine care and compassion for individuals with special needs.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to schedule and needs.
Comfortable commuting to Putney, SW15, London (no parking available).
Position to commence in May/June half-term or by the summer holidays at the latest.
