Live-In Au Pair – Surrey KT24 (Single Mum with Daughter)

A family in Surrey is seeking a kind, patient, and supportive live-in au pair to assist with the care of their bright and independent 10-year-old daughter. The role provides a great balance of responsibilities with significant free time during school terms.

Key Details:

Location: KT24, Surrey – 10 minutes from Guildford, with easy access to London (30-40 minutes by train).
Start Date: Early February/March 2025 (flexible).
Duration: Ideally until early September 2025 (minimum) with coverage required for summer holidays.

Schedule:
Term Time: Minimal hours on school days (morning/afternoon-evenings, with plenty of downtime).
School Holidays: Increased support needed, especially during the 8 weeks of summer holidays.
Occasional evening or weekend assistance.
Pay: £200-£250 per week.

Role Overview:
The family’s 10-year-old daughter is a top-performing private school student with an autism diagnosis. She is highly independent, rarely shows challenging behavior, and thrives in a calm, supportive environment. The family is looking for an au pair who can provide light supervision and help, particularly during school holidays. The family have 3 small dogs.


Responsibilities:
Providing supervision and care, especially during school holidays.
Supporting daily school routines, including preparation for the day.
Undertaking light tidying and cleaning up after meals (commercial cleaners manage heavy cleaning).
Walking the family’s three small dogs when required.
Assisting with occasional evening or weekend needs.


Accommodation & Setting:
The au pair will live in a beautiful 6-bedroom home with a large garden, swimming pool, and modern amenities.
Accommodation includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and a desk.
The home is located in a safe, quiet area, with a bus stop within walking distance and easy access to Guildford and London.


Ideal Candidate:
Kind, patient, and supportive, with a warm and gentle approach.
Comfortable in a quiet, rural environment.
Not overly strict but able to provide calm guidance when needed.
A driver is preferred but not essential.
Open to staying until early September 2025 to cover summer holidays as a minimum.
