Role Overview
A well-established and highly regarded family in Saudi Arabia is seeking a professional Governess to provide dedicated educational and developmental support to their children. The Governess will work closely with three children, aged 12, 11, and 4 years, each at different educational and personal development stages. The role requires a deep understanding of their individual needs, from academic support for the older children to engaging the youngest in creative and foundational learning activities.

The family maintains a fully staffed household, including three housemaids, and has two beloved cats. The residence is spacious and offers a private living arrangement for the Governess, ensuring comfort and privacy. There are no known health or safety risks within the home.

This role requires a dedicated and flexible Governess who can manage a structured yet adaptable schedule. The Governess will work six days per week, providing tailored support to the children for approximately eight hours per day. Flexibility is essential to accommodate the children’s schooling, extracurricular activities, and travel requirements, both domestically and internationally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering English language proficiency, supporting educational activities, and encouraging social and cultural development in a nurturing and professional manner. The Governess should be capable of balancing structured learning for the older children with engaging, play-based educational experiences for the youngest. The role also involves promoting etiquette, independence, and confidence, ensuring the children remain motivated and excited about learning.

Key Responsibilities
Education & Language Development
Teach English through immersive conversation, structured lessons, and daily activities.
Support homework, school projects, and tailored academic development.
Foster a love for learning with storytelling, interactive discussions, and creative educational activities.
Implement engaging experiences by age, from sensory play and phonics games to structured reading, writing, debates, arts, and role-playing.
Child Engagement & Supervision
Provide structured and unstructured learning suited to each child's development.
Organise indoor/outdoor activities promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and self-confidence.
Daily Routine & Support
Maintain a balanced schedule of school, extracurriculars, and personal time.
Communicate openly with parents on progress and achievements.
Collaborate with the family to support long-term educational and personal goals.
Travel & Cultural Enrichment
Accompany the family on domestic and international trips as needed.
Promote cultural awareness, etiquette, and social skills.

Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
Qualified Governess, Teacher, or Early Years Specialist with relevant experience.
Strong background in education, child development, or a related field.
Previous experience working in a private household or similar high-profile setting is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:
Native English speaker with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to tailor educational support to meet the individual learning styles and needs of each child.
Enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about child development.
Well-organised, adaptable, and highly professional with a discreet and respectful approach.
