We are delighted to offer a fantastic, Weekend Nanny role for a lively, loving family in Hampstead NW3. The family is seeking a fun, energetic, creative, French-speaking Nanny to provide weekend care to their 3 children: B13, G10 & B9 years. This is a shared care position with mum, working every weekend from Friday 8pm to Sunday 8pm, with travel during school holidays. This role is ideal for someone who truly enjoys engaging with children outdoors, is proactive in planning activities, and can seamlessly integrate into a busy family environment.

~ Start Date: Flexible, ideally immediate or from a date to be agreed
~ Working Hours: Friday 8pm – Sunday 8pm (live-in)
~ Location: Hampstead, North London
~ Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
~ Travel: During school holidays, with the option to travel with the family (not required all the time)

About the Family & Children:
~ The children lead active, sporty lives, with tennis, football matches, training, and playdates filling their weekends. The family values a nanny who is outdoorsy and energetic, able to keep up with their busy schedule and active lifestyle. The role requires someone who can occupy one child or oversee multiple children simultaneously, ensuring they are engaged, entertained, and learning.
~ The family has enjoyed a wonderful relationship with their previous nanny and are seeking someone who can bring warmth, patience, and a sense of fun to their children’s weekends. The nanny will also have the opportunity to travel with the family during school holidays, providing consistent care and support as a trusted second parent.

Key Qualities & Non-Negotiables:
~ Confident swimmer — happy to be in a pool with the children (there is a pool at the home).
~ Fun, kind, and easy-going — playful, loving, and patient, able to teach and engage children in a gentle manner.
~ Trustworthy and responsible — works seamlessly alongside mum and other household staff (house manager, chef, housekeeper).
~ Discreet and professional — respects family confidentiality and boundaries.
~ Flexible and hardworking — gives 100% commitment, adaptable to changing schedules, schedules, and demands.
~ Proactive and inventive — plans activities, invents games, encourages learning, and is hands-on in outdoor play.
~ Experience with older children — confident in managing energetic children and overseeing their routines.
~ Outdoor and active — must love being outdoors, as the children are highly energetic.
~ French speaker — a bonus but not essential.
~ Driver preferred — not essential but highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
~ Preparing healthy breakfast options (eg: smoothies, waffles, pancakes, eggs ...).
~ Getting children ready for their busy day.
~ Sharing responsibilities with mum for school runs, sports, and playdates.
~ Researching and organising weekend activities and outings.
~ Engaging children in play, including supervising playdates and inviting friends over.
~ Managing dinner and bedtime routines.
~ Occasionally cooking if the chef isn’t available.
~ Keeping children’s belongings, bedrooms, and play areas organised and tidy.
~ Working closely with mum to coordinate weekend schedules and activities.
~ Sole charge when mum is travelling.
~ Providing care and support during occasional family travel, acting as a trusted and responsible caregiver.
